Precise Assembly

Precise assemblies are fixed product structure. This means each component in the product structure represents a specific item revision and not item.

If a new revision is created of item, product structure is not configured with new item revision automatically for this component. It has to be manually replaced.

Imprecise Assembly

Imprecise assemblies are dynamic product structure. Each component in product structure represents the item (this means that component can represent any item revision of the item, based on revision rule). Component represents the new item revision in configured product structure based on applied revision rule.
